"I first thought of applying for a position at Insero based upon the reputation the firm has in the community. I was looking for a career that provided interesting, challenging work while also maintaining flexibility in my work schedule. Everyone I met during the interview process was professional and courteous. I thought I would fit in well with the culture of the firm."

I enjoy the variety of work I perform at Insero. I have clients of all sizes, so I am able to work on multiple types of projects. I feel like I am always learning and increasing my skill set. I get a lot of support from my team members. Even though the members of my team spend most of our time at various clients, I enjoy the team atmosphere we have when we get together. We work on community service and team building activities together and support each other regarding our various clients. The office has a professional atmosphere and one where community service is encouraged.

At Insero, you are able to grow professionally and personally. We all work hard and laugh a lot too!"

"The best part of my job here at Insero is helping clients. There is nothing more satisfying than being involved in a difficult analysis and coming up with the best tax answer possible for a client."

"My advice to new hires is that you alone are responsible for your career. You can progress as slowly or as quickly as you would like; all it takes is determining your goal and setting your mind to it. There are a tremendous amount of opportunities at Insero in varying departments and levels. The key is to find a mentor that you are comfortable with so you can candidly seek advice about your career progression."

Michelle MacKay, CPA, Senior Accounting Consultant, Outsource Accounting Services
St. John Fisher College

"I decided to come to work for Insero & Company for many reasons. First of many, I liked the size of the firm. I am not into being a "number" I wanted to be a team member with a name. Also, when I met with some of the Partners, I knew that they were people that I would want to work for. They understood many of the things that I wanted out of a career and life. I liked the idea of being in a consulting position. Using what I know and would learn and through the firm, been given the ability to bring that to clients/co-workers on a regular basis. Insero is a community conscience firm. Work/Life balance, I can't say enough about that. Being able to fulfill both career and personal ambitions is a true benefit."

"I enjoy assisting our clients on a day-to-day basis. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I was able to help them improve their business functions and make their processes more efficient. Sharing my skills with our clients/co-workers to make their work easier and more effective. Learning from the diversity of our clients. I learn from them just as much as they learn from me. It's a GREAT trade off. I also enjoy my co-workers. We are a great team working for the same goals, helping each other and our clients succeed."

"Words of wisdom for potential new hires: Never stop learning. Take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves. Choose a mentor that fits your career goals and needs. Be confident but humble and willing to take advice – constructive criticism is for all of us from Partner down to Staff member, we are all human. Ask questions! Don't be afraid to say that you do not understand or do not know, this is how you learn. Get involved. Ask to be involved with as much of the client as you can. Also get involved with the firm, you'll find that you will learn more, make good friendships, and your career growth will astound you."
